Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Dietzler Construction Corp. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and directing the functions of the HR Department, as well as performing day-to-day HR-related duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the functions of the HR Department, including employee relations, leadership coaching, training and development, teambuilding, organizational development, workforce planning, culture and engagement, talent management, and HR project leadership.
  • Partner with leadership to understand and execute the organization's human resources strategy and shape company culture, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and recruiting.
  • Supervise the Human Resource Coordinator and Recruiter, and have lead responsibilities for culture development, benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, performance management and employee discipline and terminations, employee training and development, policy development and implementation, affirmative action plan data collection and development, employment law and regulatory compliance, budgeting and forecasting, and other HR-related tasks and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, preferably in construction, mining or related industries.
  • Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.
  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, and/or SPHR.
Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and present ideas and content that contribute to the organization's strategic priorities.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels.
  • Able to use information and data to interpret, analyze, and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, CO FAMLI Act, CO POWR Act, and EO 11246 and VEVRA.

  • Ability to create budgets and cost comparisons.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working Environment

This position is based at the corporate headquarters in Denver, Colorado, and the Manager will travel frequently to the company's other offices in Berthoud, Colorado, Yoder, Wyoming, as well as make periodic visits to other project and mine sites in the geographic area.

The Manager will be expected to be physically present at the company's offices, facilities or job sites for the majority of working time. Remote work is available only sporadically with the approval of the EVP.

The Manager position is a fulltime position requiring 40-60 hours per week, and the ability to work consistently 8-10 hours per day. Most work will occur during the work week, but weekend work may be required occasionally.

This position is an executive-level role that requires mental concentration, the ability to read and organize large amounts of data and information, the capability to multi-task and manage several ongoing tasks and projects, and to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced business environment.

The role also requires the ability to communicate professionally and clearly by email, text message and other written forms, and to communicate verbally by telephone, videoconference or in person.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $145,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
