Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
1.

Facilitate communication between law enforcement personnel and other agencies during emergencies and significant incidents, utilizing various communication technologies.

Assess and coordinate emergency responses to ensure the safety of the public and law enforcement officials.

3.

Monitor and prioritize incoming communications regarding safety threats, utilizing advanced dispatch systems and databases.

4.

Gather and analyze intelligence information pertinent to public safety and security issues, supporting law enforcement operations.

5.

Conduct analytical tasks using specialized software to aid in criminal investigations and homeland security efforts.

6.

Oversee communication center operations, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.

7.

Maintain and update critical databases and ensure the integrity of information shared with law enforcement agencies.

8.

Provide training and guidance to personnel in communication protocols and emergency response procedures.

9.

Participate in the setup and management of communication command centers during significant events.

10.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the agency's mission.


Qualifications:
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience:
  • Four years of experience in law enforcement communications or related fields is preferred.
Licensure:
  • Must obtain relevant certifications within specified timeframes.

Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using technology and software related to law enforcement communications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
