Job Overview:

This position serves as the deputy to the Insider Risk and Counterintelligence Program Manager. The main focus is on conducting preliminary assessments and analyses for investigations and due diligence, particularly in the realm of insider threats and counterintelligence issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary analyst for initial evaluations of insider threat and counterintelligence inquiries.
  • Leverage User Activity Monitoring (UAM), User Behavior Analytics (UBA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and various other data sources and tools to assess both technical and behavioral indicators.
  • Perform thorough analyses, offering insights into recognized and emerging threats and vulnerabilities, whether they are internal or external.
  • Identify essential assets and their protection requirements.
  • Contribute to the formulation and enforcement of security policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices to mitigate insider threats.
  • Draft clear and concise analytical reports and present findings to diverse business teams.
  • Assist in delivering organizational security awareness training to pertinent audiences.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest tactics, techniques, and trends related to corporate espionage, insider threats, and industry technologies to enhance investigative efforts.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Practical experience with UAM, UBA, DLP, and other technical datasets and open-source tools for forensic examination.
  • Proven ability to implement technical solutions to evaluate individual and group vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Advanced skills in open-source research, including deep and dark web investigations.
  • Preferred background in government or private sector security or intelligence analysis.
  • Preferred experience in the semiconductor or highly technical sectors.
  • Open to candidates from diverse backgrounds who may not meet all desired qualifications but exhibit a strong willingness to learn and grow.

Typical Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience; or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. This position operates in an office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing may be required, necessitating the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as needed. This position may also require the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds, and involves 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
