Position: Infrastructure Systems Specialist

Key Responsibilities

The Infrastructure Systems Specialist will oversee the effective setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. This role involves engaging in technical research and development to drive continuous improvement within our infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with organizational standards while enabling staff to perform their tasks efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing daily technical challenges and contributing to the broader technology strategy.
  • Gathering requirements, conducting research and development, performing technical analysis and design, and implementing solutions.
  • Managing systems including Windows infrastructure, VMWare, Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and AWS.
  • Ensuring operational excellence through engineering, provisioning, support, and maintenance of systems.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Five to seven years of experience in infrastructure project implementation.
  • Microsoft Server certification.
  • Experience with virtual desktop environments.
  • Technical solution design and planning experience.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and software, including:
    • Windows/Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • MS Office Suite/Office 365
  • Experience with Microsoft Database technologies and collaboration tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS services and cloud management.
  • Certifications in information security.
  • Understanding of the Defense/Aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and cybersecurity frameworks.

Work Environment
  • This role operates in both office and manufacturing settings, utilizing standard office equipment and safety measures as necessary.
  • Overtime may be required based on project demands.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
  • Frequent lifting and handling of materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around the facility.
