Position Overview

Langan is seeking a GIS Intern to become an integral part of our collaborative team. This role is pivotal in assisting with data analysis and map creation utilizing Esri's ArcGIS suite of products to support various client deliverables. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in applying GIS applications across multiple disciplines, including environmental science, civil engineering, geotechnical studies, transportation, natural resources, landscape architecture, and surveying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in data analysis, reduction, and map creation;
  • Support the development of data products for various infrastructure planning projects;
  • Gain experience in creating GIS visuals by interpreting incomplete datasets;
  • Maintain project-specific GIS databases to ensure data organization and cataloging;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and judgment capabilities;
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team;
  • Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Base Hourly Range: $19 - $28. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and applicable knowledge and skills.

This position is also eligible for overtime.
