Position Overview

The IT Systems Administrator is essential in overseeing and maintaining the critical systems and applications that underpin the bank's technological framework. This role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities that guarantee the efficient operation and security of the bank's IT infrastructure.

In essence, the IT Systems Administrator serves as a crucial connection between the bank's technology systems and its operational effectiveness, necessitating a blend of technical knowledge, communication skills, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

IT Systems Management

  • Oversee various IT systems within the bank, including computers, servers, printers, network devices, and communication circuits.
  • Provide support for advanced audio/visual and conferencing technologies.
  • Assist in the management of the bank's IT facilities, including data centers.
  • Deliver prompt support to internal users and high-level service to bank executives.
  • Adhere to the IT change management protocols to maintain the stability of the production environment.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and IT Security teams to facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Engage with both physical and virtual servers, focusing on deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Propose enhancements to improve service desk efficiency and monitor SLA compliance.
  • Document and upgrade client technology to ensure a functional user environment.
  • Actively participate in the identification and implementation of innovative technology solutions to meet specific business requirements.
  • Ensure the effective and appropriate use of products and technology to enhance business value.
  • Support long-term strategic objectives for infrastructure and standards in alignment with business needs.

IT Access Management

  • Implement and enforce IT access control procedures to ensure all access modifications are duly authorized.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer and the IT security team on access certification initiatives.

Vendor Relations

  • Establish strong partnerships with third-party technology vendors and manage key vendor relationships effectively.
  • Work with Managed Service Providers to ensure consistency in technology services.

Regulatory Compliance Support

  • Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer and other technology team members to address audit and security issues.
  • Assist in gathering information and tracking for audit and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or industry-recognized IT certifications.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support services and user assistance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting Windows, Apple Mac, and mobile devices.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a user-friendly manner.
