Position Overview

Associated Agencies is recognized as a leading privately-owned insurance and risk management firm across the nation. We are currently in search of a skilled Senior Account Manager to enhance our distinguished Commercial Lines Department. In this critical role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge of insurance products and client relationship management to offer outstanding service and strategic advice to our esteemed commercial clientele. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Producers and other team members on all client-related processes.
  • Independently make significant decisions to assist producers in marketing new business and managing renewal submissions for both new and existing clients.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' insurance goals and evaluate various insurance plans to assess their appropriateness.
  • Proactively manage and service client accounts by gathering necessary information for renewals, preparing applications, conducting surveys, and other essential documentation.
  • Document all interactions with clients and insurance representatives accurately, updating all relevant management systems as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to address any service-related issues.
  • Maintain client accounts by entering and updating policy information and ensuring the organization of new and renewal client files.
  • Foster new business opportunities from existing accounts, contributing to departmental production targets.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities when suitable.
Qualifications:
  • Illinois Property and Casualty License is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Account Manager in mid to large-sized commercial lines is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage a substantial portfolio, particularly in Real Estate.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal guidance from leadership.
  • A valuable resource for the team, providing insights on marketing and coverage to Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives.
Essential Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of service standards and property and casualty policy coverage.
  • Highly proficient in Applied Systems EPIC.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for engaging effectively with both clients and agency personnel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Adept at prioritizing tasks and working independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
