The Lead Account Executive will:
- Collaborate closely with Producers and other team members on all client-related processes.
- Independently make significant decisions to assist Producers by managing the marketing of new business and renewal submissions for both new and existing clients.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' insurance needs and evaluate various insurance plans to assess their appropriateness.
- Proactively manage and service client accounts by gathering necessary information for renewals, preparing applications, conducting surveys, and other documentation for submission, selecting markets, negotiating with underwriters, preparing proposals, and processing policies while ensuring accuracy in issued documents.
- Document all communications with clients and insurance representatives, updating all relevant management systems as needed.
- Act as a liaison between clients and insurance providers to address any service-related issues.
- Meet the needs of client accounts by entering and updating policy information and maintaining comprehensive client files for new and renewal accounts.
- Generate new business from existing accounts and contribute to departmental production targets, identifying and pursuing cross-selling opportunities when suitable.
- Illinois Property and Casualty License is mandatory.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Account Executive in mid to large-sized commercial lines is required.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision is essential.
- Serve as a resource for the team, providing insights on marketing and coverage to Account Executives and Customer Service Representatives.
- Familiarity with service standards and property and casualty policy coverage.
- Proficient in Applied Systems EPIC.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and agency personnel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Capable of thriving in a collaborative team environment.
