World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) is in search of a dedicated and skilled Director of Individual Donor Relations to lead our expanding and successful individual giving initiatives.

Individual contributions account for more than half of WCK's yearly revenue, and the Director of Individual Donor Relations will focus on major gifts, recurring donations, and mid-tier contributions. This position will report directly to the Chief Development Officer and will manage a team of fundraising professionals while also handling a personal portfolio of donors, which includes cultivating, soliciting, and nurturing relationships with donors (including family foundations) contributing between $25,000 and $1MM+. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic setting, showcasing proactive leadership and support with an entrepreneurial approach.

This role necessitates a genuine commitment to WCK's mission, experience in engaging with major and mid-tier donors in a comparable role, and the expectation of travel. The position is intended to be hybrid, with a minimum of two days on-site each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of individual donors, major gifts, legacy contributions, and family foundations in alignment with WCK's mission.
  • Implement data-driven revenue goals and strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts, enhancing relationships through authentic engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure monthly cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship objectives are met, maintaining timely engagement records in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate closely with the Donor Operations team to create comparative reports that track fundraising outcomes (month over month and year over year).
  • Oversee priority projects, campaigns, and strategies, providing clear input on some and leading others.
  • Supervise and mentor a team in their respective portfolios, guiding best practices for engagement and year-round relationship development.
  • Represent WCK at speaking engagements, conferences, and other opportunities.
