World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Director of Individual Donor Relations to lead our expanding and successful individual giving initiatives.
Individual contributions account for a significant portion of WCK's annual funding, and the Director of Individual Donor Relations will focus on major gifts, recurring donations, and mid-tier contributions. This position will report directly to the Chief Development Officer and will manage a team of fundraising professionals while also overseeing a personal portfolio of donors, including family foundations, contributing between $25,000 and $1 million or more. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic setting, demonstrating proactive leadership and an entrepreneurial approach.
This role necessitates a genuine commitment to WCK's mission, along with experience in engaging major and mid-tier donors in a comparable capacity, and will involve travel. The position is designed to be hybrid, with a requirement of at least two days on-site each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of individual donors, major gifts, legacy contributions, and family foundations in alignment with WCK's mission.
- Implement data-driven revenue objectives and strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donations, while enhancing relationships through meaningful engagement opportunities.
- Ensure monthly targets for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship are met, maintaining accurate engagement records in Salesforce.
- Collaborate closely with the Donor Operations team to generate comparative reports that track fundraising performance over time.
- Oversee priority projects, campaigns, and strategies, providing input and leadership as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor a team, guiding best practices for donor engagement and year-round relationship management.
- Represent WCK at speaking engagements, conferences, and other relevant events.

Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in individual giving programs, with a proven track record in donor identification, cultivation, and solicitation.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing teams.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

- Demonstrated initiative, independence, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of current philanthropic trends.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will be multilingual and possess prior experience in relief organizations.
