Senior Philanthropy Officer
A Distinguished National Nonprofit
Location: Flexible (Hybrid Work Environment)
Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 annually, with potential adjustments based on qualifications + Performance Bonuses + Comprehensive Benefits

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Philanthropy Officer to play a crucial role within our esteemed national nonprofit organization. The selected candidate will manage a portfolio of significant donors and prospects within the surrounding regions. This position requires expertise in identifying, nurturing, and soliciting contributions from individuals capable of making substantial donations of $25,000 or more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand a portfolio of existing and potential major gift contributors.
  • Maintain a well-balanced portfolio to enable effective donor engagement strategies.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track donor interactions and implement relationship-driven fundraising techniques.
  • Design and execute cultivation plans for prospective donors.
  • Guide potential contributors towards making commitments in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research to identify new donor prospects through various networks.
  • Provide insights and forecasts related to fundraising efforts.
  • Travel as necessary to engage with donors and prospects.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising or sales.
  • Proven success in independently securing major gifts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar donor management systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage travel requirements.
