JOB TITLE: P&C Account Manager

REPORTS TO: P&C Service Team Lead and Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Enhance the agency's portfolio by supporting new business initiatives – promoting insurance offerings to potential clients and informing current clients about additional services to fulfill their requirements. Perform essential operational duties, including data entry, processing client requests, maintaining documentation, and overseeing the progress of ongoing insurance claims, applications, renewals, and endorsements within the agency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Specific

  • Assist clients with inquiries, issues, and policy modifications. Communicate with external agencies as needed to fulfill client requests. Ensure timely responses to clients.
  • Prepare quotes for potential or existing clients.
  • Support producers in acquiring new business to expand the agency's portfolio by marketing to prospective clients and recommending additional services to existing clients.
  • Receive and manage client claims, filing them with the appropriate companies and following up with clients.
  • Handle clerical tasks, including data entry, completing necessary documentation, drafting correspondence, organizing current policies, renewals, and changes, packaging new and renewal policies, and distributing marketing materials and proposals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the insurance sector through ongoing education.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in business administration or relevant industry experience is required.
  • LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: A valid motor vehicle driver's license or provisional operator's permit is required. A property and casualty insurance license is preferred.

  • Ability to operate general office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Normal daily physical activities, including walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., storage files, office supplies, and equipment).

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoors, in a controlled environment. This position may require travel by car for client visits and may involve evening and weekend work to accommodate client meetings.
