Job Overview:

As a Commercial Insurance Account Executive at Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska, your primary responsibility will be to foster profitable relationships with commercial clients while driving business growth through the acquisition of new accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and cultivate commercial insurance opportunities with both new and existing clients through various engagement methods, including face-to-face meetings, virtual interactions, phone communications, and written correspondence.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and prospects by delivering timely and precise quotations, ensuring consistent follow-up, and providing comprehensive account support. Address client inquiries and needs efficiently.
  • Participate in strategic partnerships, networking events, and client prospecting initiatives to facilitate business expansion.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on key performance indicators to ensure sales objectives are achieved while maintaining meticulous sales records in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, provide mentorship to team members, share industry knowledge, engage in meetings, and effectively manage client relationships.
  • Assist with client renewals, retention strategies, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, regulatory changes, coverage options, and technological advancements through ongoing education to enhance professional performance.
  • Review client audits, implement necessary corrections, and oversee accounts receivable and billing processes.
Qualifications:
  • Possess the necessary insurance license for your state and have at least two years of experience in managing personal and commercial insurance accounts, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation available.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, rating methodologies, underwriting practices, coverage options, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and retain existing clients.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in B2B sales, showcasing strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals successfully.
  • Customer-focused, proactive in developing client relationships, and possess exceptional organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills, teamwork capabilities, and proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.

Compensation: $30,000 - $70,000 annually
