The Commercial Lines Producer at Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska plays a crucial role in nurturing and enhancing profitable partnerships with commercial lines clients while expanding the business portfolio through new client acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and cultivate commercial insurance prospects with both new and existing clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, online interactions, phone calls, and written correspondence.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and prospects by ensuring timely follow-ups, providing accurate quotations, and delivering comprehensive account support. Proactively address and manage all client needs.
- Engage in networking and strategic planning to discover new clients and business opportunities.
- Track, analyze, and report on essential metrics to guarantee sales objectives are met, while ensuring that sales documentation is completed accurately and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, share expertise, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as required.
- Assist clients in preparing for renewals and retention efforts, while maintaining robust client relationships.
- Stay current with continuing education requirements and industry developments, including new products, legislation, coverages, and technology to enhance knowledge and performance.
- Review client audits, verify necessary corrections, and manage accounts receivable and billing processes.
- Possess the insurance license mandated by your state and have at least two years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance account management, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry practices to effectively secure new business and maintain the existing client base.
- Demonstrate a proven history of success in business-to-business sales, with strong skills in presentation, persuasion, and negotiation, along with the ability to close sales effectively.
- Be customer-oriented, people-focused, and assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing current clients.
- Show exceptional organizational skills, with the capability to manage complex tasks independently, sound business judgment, strong decision-making abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess outstanding time management skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.
