Job Overview:

The Commercial Lines Producer at Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska plays a crucial role in nurturing and enhancing profitable connections with commercial lines clients while expanding the business portfolio through new client acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, assess, and cultivate commercial insurance prospects with both new and existing clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, online interactions, phone calls, and written correspondence.
  • Establish and sustain exceptional relationships with clients and prospects by ensuring regular follow-ups, providing accurate and timely quotes, and offering comprehensive account support. Proactively address and respond to all client needs.
  • Engage in networking and strategic planning to identify new clients and business opportunities.
  • Track, analyze, and report on essential metrics to ensure sales objectives are met, while maintaining timely and professional documentation of sales activities.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, share expertise, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as necessary.
  • Assist clients in the renewal and retention process while fostering strong client relationships.
  • Maintain continuing education and stay updated on industry trends, new product offerings, legislation, coverage options, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and performance.
  • Review client audits, ensure necessary corrections are made, and manage accounts receivable and billing processes.
Qualifications:
  • Possess the required insurance license for your state and have at least two years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance account management, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverage options, and industry practices to effectively secure new business and maintain the existing client base.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in business-to-business sales, showcasing strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.
  • Be client-oriented, focused on customer satisfaction, and assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing current clients.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills, capable of completing complex tasks independently, with sound business judgment, strong decision-making abilities, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit outstanding time management skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and possess proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.
