About the Role

Cardinal Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Development Leader to join our team. As a key member of our OptiFreight Logistics business, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development through strategic partnerships, market research, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the healthcare logistics industry.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners, to drive business growth and development.
  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute business development strategies to maximize program value and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess strategic fit, technical feasibility, and organizational alignment for new service, channel, and/or carrier expansion opportunities.
  • Financial Acumen: Utilize strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and sound thought processes to develop business case recommendations to gain executive support and secure required investments.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and development, and ensure alignment with business strategies and customer needs.
Requirements
  • Experience: 7+ years of related work experience in healthcare, consulting, strategy, business development, R&D, and/or supply chain, logistics.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
