Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to serve as a Building Supervisor for the City of Burlington, VT. This role is responsible for providing facility coverage and maintaining daily programmatic and facility operations at various city-owned facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Open and close facilities, manage individual spaces, and ensure a clean and safe environment for users.
  • Customer Service: Greet public and program participants, provide facility information, and collect payments and participation waivers.
  • Event Support: Set up and break down rooms for events, programs, and meetings, and act as a liaison with staff and visitors.
  • Custodial Duties: Perform light custodial tasks, including cleaning and restocking restrooms, emptying trash and recycling, and cleaning/organizing kitchen and common areas.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for facility users, communicating and coordinating user needs with facility staff and management.
Requirements
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, have strong communication skills, and a desire to work with a diverse population of facility users.
  • Availability: Evening and weekend availability is required, as is the ability to work flexible work assignments and hours.
