Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transit Operations Coordinator to join our team at Green Mountain Transit. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of transit planning principles and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain transit operating schedules, ensuring compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and available resources.
  • Assist in administering the operator bid selection process and provide statistical and route summary reports.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Operations to develop and implement route changes.
  • Manage the agency's General Transit Specification Feed and distribute schedules and scheduling-related data.
  • Resolve scheduling-related customer service issues and participate in public outreach processes.
  • Review turn lists and public schedules for completeness and accuracy.
Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in urban/transportation planning, public administration, statistics, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the public and agency employees.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with strong aptitude for technology and ability to learn new software.
  • Experience with database management software and working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Computer proficiency with a high skill level in Microsoft applications and Google platform.
