Overview: The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing the general ledger and executing all financial operations related to financial reporting, profitability analysis, and various special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities: The primary duties encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations to guarantee precise reporting and ledger upkeep.
  • Managing fixed asset documentation and reporting.
  • Conducting financial and profitability assessments as requested.
  • Auditing and validating financial documents.
  • Investigating and rectifying accounting discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Assisting in the preparation and coordination of financial audits.
  • Contributing to departmental and organizational special projects as assigned.
  • Adhering to all regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Overseeing inventory records and ensuring transaction accuracy.
  • Supporting the Accounting Supervisor and Chief Financial Officer with journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial report preparations.
  • Identifying and reporting variations and discrepancies to the Accounting Supervisor.
  • Documenting Senior Accountant procedures and upholding internal accounting standards.
  • Assisting with testing and obtaining final approval for system reports essential for management and financial reporting.

Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel is anticipated for this role.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting capacity.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of formal requirements.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
