Position Overview: The Executive Leader is tasked with exemplifying a constructive organizational culture while delivering dynamic leadership that fosters trust and integrity throughout the enterprise. The role encompasses the oversight and management of daily operations, establishing direct lines of communication, and serving as a conduit between the LDF Business Development Corporation Board of Directors, management, and operational teams, all while maintaining a reputable public image for the organization.

Key Responsibilities: The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Making significant corporate decisions and formulating high-quality business strategies and plans that align with both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Managing overall operations and resources in line with strategic plans, providing leadership that aligns with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization.
  • Driving the corporation to achieve and exceed goals related to sales, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Leading the development of corporate plans and programs for growth and acting as a strategic partner.
  • Assessing and advising on the implications of long-range planning, new program introductions, strategies, and regulatory actions.
  • Creating plans, analyzing, and reporting on financial budgets and performance metrics.
  • Inspiring and leading a high-performance team; recruiting and retaining necessary executive team members.
  • Enhancing, developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures that improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Being an effective problem solver for business challenges.
  • Promoting a success-oriented and accountable atmosphere within the organization.
  • Ensuring that staff and board members receive accurate and timely information by efficiently delivering data as required.
  • Providing executive-level oversight for all human, financial, and physical resources of the corporation.
  • Actively engaging and networking with various external business professionals and industry-specific organizations to expand opportunities for growth and progress.

  • Act in a manner that supports the company’s values, mission, and vision.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position manages executives, subordinate supervisors, and non-supervisory employees, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of subsidiary units. Supervisory duties include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in business management and leadership.
  • 3 years of experience in contracts and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of tribal government operations and culture is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in an executive-level management position.
