Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Superintendent to oversee projects in the Washington, DC region, specifically within the roofing and waterproofing sector for commercial ventures. Our client, a specialized contractor, is dedicated to delivering high-quality roofing and waterproofing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project execution aligns with established timelines, budget constraints, and industry quality standards.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, scheduling, change orders, and contract management.
  • Implement safety protocols and develop comprehensive safety plans, including regular safety meetings.
  • Lead and supervise project teams to achieve production and quality objectives.
  • Oversee labor forecasts, material storage, and inventory requirements.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide training and oversight to crew members and subcontractors as necessary.
  • Organize and execute work assignments efficiently.
  • Direct assigned teams to ensure safe and profitable project progression.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project leads to review project needs, safety concerns, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication and interaction.
  • Interpret shop drawings and translate manufacturing specifications for roofing and wall layouts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial roofing and waterproofing projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and articulate.
