Position Summary:

Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation is seeking a skilled Foreman to oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with established timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of all necessary materials to the job site.
  • Resolve issues effectively with team members, subcontractors, and general contractors.
  • Install systems in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Safely operate a variety of construction tools and machinery.
  • Utilize material handling equipment efficiently.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Complete all mandatory training related to company policies, contracts, and safety protocols.
  • Assess crew performance and conduct evaluations as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with the site Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Ensure completion of all required documentation for the company, contracts, and site.
  • Identify and rectify any deficiencies in work quality.
  • Enforce adherence to job specifications, safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
  • Uphold a safe working environment with a strong commitment to safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction as a skilled laborer or in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to install systems according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Experience in leading construction crews.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Must pass and maintain a government background check and site access requirements.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • OSHA 30-Hour certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Construction sites, laboratories, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to see, stand, sit, lift, and perform other physical tasks.
