Position Summary:

Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation is seeking a skilled Foreman to oversee and coordinate all construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed in alignment with established timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure and ensure timely delivery of all necessary materials to the job site.
  • Resolve issues effectively with team members, subcontractors, and general contractors.
  • Install systems in accordance with the specifications provided by material manufacturers.
  • Safely operate a diverse range of construction tools and equipment.
  • Manage material handling equipment operations.
  • Uphold a professional demeanor and foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Complete all mandatory training related to company policies, contracts, and safety protocols.
  • Assess crew performance and conduct evaluations as necessary.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the site Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Identify and rectify any deficiencies in work quality.
  • Enforce adherence to job specifications, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Commit to maintaining a safe working environment with a strong emphasis on safety practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction as a skilled laborer or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience in system installations according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage construction crews.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Must pass and maintain a government background check and site access requirements.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • OSHA 30-Hour certification is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; CDL is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Construction sites, laboratories, and similar settings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks involving sight, standing, sitting, lifting, and other physical activities.
