Position Overview:

Woolpert is actively seeking a skilled project manager to enhance our Ohio Aviation Design Practice while also fostering growth in various targeted regions across the United States. Our project managers play a pivotal role in expanding our aviation design services by delivering consulting expertise through a collaborative, cross-functional team aimed at producing comprehensive deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and articulate business development and sales opportunities during the proposal qualification process.
  • Engage with current and potential clients to understand their evolving requirements and evaluate how our AEG services can assist them.
  • Lead and participate in presentations to prospective clients, professional organizations, and company leadership, focusing on project leadership.
  • Direct and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases, including programming, planning, grant administration, conceptual and detailed design, and construction.
  • Ensure that deliverables meet Woolpert's quality standards in accordance with the agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Facilitate change management with clients and maintain ongoing communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with management and leadership to address client satisfaction, scope changes, risk management, scheduling, and financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Possession of a current PE license with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation or transportation project design and management, or over 15 years of experience in aviation or transportation project delivery.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30% to local client sites and 5% to regional locations.
  • Ability to attend client board meetings as required.
  • Current knowledge of FAA regulations, requirements, practices, and advisory circulars.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF editing software.
  • Strong technical skills demonstrated through previous work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
