- Lead project teams, coordinating multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Establish and nurture client relationships, participating in marketing and contractual discussions.
- Conduct design sessions and contract document workshops with clients and relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee project staffing and workload management to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures, providing training for team members as necessary.
- Monitor project progress, addressing client-initiated changes and assessing their impact on contracts.
- Supervise and mentor project staff, fostering professional development.
- Manage construction services on active projects, reviewing submissions and requests for information.
- Act as a subject matter expert during construction phases, resolving unforeseen issues as they arise.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in aviation-related engineering, including at least 2 years in project management.
- Familiarity with FAA guidelines and aviation design standards is necessary.
- Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and large aviation projects.
- Knowledge of asphalt and concrete pavements is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required; experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in business development and strategic planning.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities are essential.
- A commitment to fostering a collaborative and employee-owned culture is crucial.
