Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Remote

Client: nLeague


**Local candidates preferred or must be willing to relocate. Will be required to come on-site periodically.

We are in search of a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer who possesses a deep understanding of managing Windows Server environments across both on-premises and cloud platforms. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong history in system patching, backup operations, migrations, and the implementation of Active Directory services. They should be proficient in supporting a variety of applications, including Java, .Net, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and various Warehouse technologies. This role requires expertise in both server-level support and tailored production application support.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with security tools such as Tenable and experience with SCCM for automated patch management. A solid grasp of server security configurations, including endpoint protection, is crucial. Strong networking skills and a comprehensive understanding of OSI layer functionality and protocols are necessary. Experience with disaster recovery (DR) processes is essential. Preferred qualifications include certifications as a Systems Engineer and Network Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Windows Server in hybrid environments (both on-premises and cloud).
  • Provide guidance on disaster recovery and uptime management, ensuring best practices for infrastructure stability.
  • Conduct regular patching and updates to maintain system security and stability.
  • Oversee backup operations and recovery processes in critical environments.
  • Plan and execute server migrations, including transitioning workloads to the cloud.
  • Work comfortably in an environment utilizing multiple frameworks and technologies, including .NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and more.
  • Provide server-level support and troubleshoot issues for production applications.
  • Utilize security tools such as Tenable for managing vulnerability remediation.
  • Employ tools like SCCM for automated patch management and deployment.
  • Develop disaster recovery (DR) plans to minimize downtime and prevent data loss.
  • Exhibit strong networking knowledge, including OSI layer functionality and network protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address infrastructure needs and support application deployment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft-focused certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, etc.
  • Networking-focused certifications, such as Network , CCNA, etc.
