Under the guidance of the Principal Accounting Officer, you will oversee the corporate accounting operations, which include general ledger oversight, management of accounts receivable and payable, reconciliation and control of general ledger accounts, as well as fixed assets accounting and reporting. Your primary role will involve managing the corporate reporting requirements for the Corporate Controller and serving as a valuable resource for the Line of Business Finance Teams to enhance their performance and contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the daily functions of the corporate accounting department, ensuring effective general ledger management, accounts payable processing, and fixed assets accounting.
  • Maintain the internal control framework surrounding financial accounting and reporting, including compliance with SOX and other regulatory controls.
  • Oversee the corporate consolidation process and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Supervise the preparation of corporate and enterprise management reports, as well as financial performance reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Implement new accounting and reporting standards as issued by FASB, SEC, OCC, and the Federal Reserve.
  • Act as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory examiners during audits and examinations, while also providing internal support to various departments.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required

Experience:

  • 10-12 years of experience in corporate accounting and management, particularly in SEC reporting Required
  • 7-10 years of experience managing consolidated financial statements and leading accounting analysts Required

Licenses and Certifications:

  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant by start date Required
