POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic leader in Accounting to enhance our operations. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

This pivotal position will oversee our accounting operations team within the Controllership function, reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead all aspects of the accounting team, including talent acquisition and development, fostering an inclusive and safe work environment, and setting clear performance expectations.
2. Review and analyze accounting results, internal and external financial statements, and reports.
3. Drive customer rate activities and continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with Alliant Energy's strategic objectives.
4. Ensure compliance with GAAP, FERC regulations, and other relevant accounting standards.
5. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate processing of journal entries and reconciliation of account balances.
6. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop solutions that enhance financial outcomes and align with the company's strategic vision.
7. Identify and communicate risks and opportunities related to financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience or equivalent leadership roles.
