Job Description

Job Summary: The Office Equipment Service Specialist is tasked with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of copiers and printers. This position ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and meets the expectations of clients or internal teams. While prior experience is advantageous, training is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Repair and Maintenance:
    • Identify and troubleshoot problems with copiers, printers, and multifunction devices.
    • Execute repairs, including part replacements and adjustments to guarantee optimal functionality.
    • Perform regular maintenance to avert equipment failures.
  2. Customer Service:
    • Respond swiftly to service requests and customer questions.
    • Clarify repair procedures and offer guidance on proper equipment usage and care.
    • Maintain a professional attitude and ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Technical Support:
    • Deliver on-site technical assistance and training for clients.
    • Help with the installation and setup of new equipment.
    • Update software and firmware as necessary.
  4. Inventory and Documentation:
    • Manage an inventory of spare parts and tools.
    • Keep thorough records of repairs, maintenance, and service interactions.
    • Submit necessary reports and documentation.
  5. Continued Education:
    • Stay informed about the latest advancements in copier and printer technology.
    • Engage in training sessions and certifications as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Background in copier/printer repair or a comparable role is preferred, but training is available.
  • Skills: Strong technical and problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to [X] pounds.
