Job Summary

The Business Services Coordinator position is a key role within the Business Services and Finance department at College for Creative Studies (CCS). This position is responsible for providing administrative support, handling various accounting and financial responsibilities, and serving as the office coordinator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, staff, and faculty, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Transactions: Process payments to student accounts, manage cash handling, and reconcile daily sales reports from the Bookstore and Imaging Center.
  • Administrative Support: Assist department management with special projects, complete office forms, organize files, and draft/edit letters as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Track and process new vendor requests, manage daily sales reports, and ensure reconciliation with the system.
  • Collections and Refunds: Aid in the College's collections efforts, manage student refunds, reimbursements, and payroll checks, and assist with unclaimed property escheatment processes.
  • Lock Management: Oversee the renting and distribution of locks for College-owned lockers, conduct monthly account reconciliations, and rotate locks annually.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures and systems, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience: Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population, and a strong understanding of business operations and financial management principles.
