Position Overview:

We are seeking a Healthcare Operations Specialist to enhance our eastern market operations. This role is pivotal in supporting the Director of Health and Wellness or stepping in during vacancies, ensuring the effective management of the Resident Care Department within our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the adherence to established policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with both corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Assess and enhance compliance with resident rights policies, addressing any resident concerns effectively.
  • Conduct compliance evaluations at various communities and assist in formulating action plans to mitigate risks identified during these assessments.
  • Engage in State and Federal compliance surveys and investigations, providing necessary support.
  • Monitor and review the progress of corrective action plans.
  • Analyze performance metrics and survey data to identify and address trends.
  • Deliver training and orientation to community staff on compliance, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process for community Directors of Health and Wellness.
  • Ensure communities remain informed about state regulations and monitor any proposed changes.
  • Promote and embody the company culture in all interactions.
  • Facilitate partnerships with external vendors as required.
  • Provide clinical expertise and education to support the Director of Health and Wellness role.
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant software and ensure timely reporting of information.
  • Uphold compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Exhibit respect and compassion in all interactions with residents, families, and staff.
  • Demonstrate integrity and honesty in every professional engagement.
  • Show a genuine passion for caregiving through interactions with all stakeholders.
  • May serve as an interim Director of Health and Wellness when necessary.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Provide guidance and support to community administrators and health and wellness staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with Multistate Compact Licensure Required
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance across multiple states.
  • Experience in assisted living settings is essential.
  • A minimum of five to ten years of nursing experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Three to five years of management experience in nursing.
  • Recent experience in roles such as Director of Wellness or Director of Nursing in assisted living is required.
