This role is essential for ensuring precise data management, operational efficiency, and effective communication among the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patients with information regarding fee structures and co-payments prior to their appointments
- Facilitate patient pre-registration and confirm insurance eligibility
- Welcome and assist patients and visitors upon arrival
- Organize and verify patient appointment schedules
- Process payments and secure necessary authorizations
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and manage incoming calls
- Deliver patient guidance and information on community resources
- Support appointment reminders and rescheduling efforts
- Manage referrals and perform data entry functions
- Conduct end-of-day financial reconciliation and other clerical responsibilities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare environment
- Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
