Position Overview:
This opportunity is presented by Volt, a leader in workforce solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated Onsite Systems Support Technician to provide exceptional technical assistance and support.

Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver remote desktop support and assist users via telephone to troubleshoot computer-related issues.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the company's network by managing backups and deploying necessary security updates.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and upgrade desktop and laptop systems within a corporate LAN/WAN environment.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support in collaboration with other IT staff.
- Set up and troubleshoot user accounts, domains, and software applications.
- Configure and test network connectivity for both local and remote devices.
- Manage hardware components, including memory, keyboards, and motherboards.
- Collaborate with vendors to maintain the Support Desk ticketing system and adhere to Service Level Agreements.
- Develop and document procedures for hardware and software installation and troubleshooting.
- Offer guidance on the use of standard software tools, including Microsoft Office and other essential applications.
- Support ancillary IT services such as projectors, video conferencing, and printing solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members to research and implement solutions for technical issues.
- Prioritize tasks based on urgency and keep team members informed on issue status.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate support groups as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of LAN/WAN configurations and updates.
- Foster strong relationships with network support personnel to understand the impact of network changes.
- Stay updated on relevant technologies and continuously improve technical skills.

Candidate Qualifications:
- A BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a desktop support role, preferably in an environment with a minimum of 25 Windows systems.
- Proficient in installing and upgrading Intel/AMD hardware and Microsoft operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with Intel/AMD systems, and experience with vendor support.
- Excellent customer service abilities and effective communication skills for technical concepts.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN/Internet environments, including TCP/IP.
- Capability to create user guides and system documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Compensation:
Hourly pay rate ranges from $25 to $28, commensurate with experience.
