Role Overview

The IT Professional is responsible for assisting users within the firm who have technical requirements, with a primary focus on Windows laptops and devices integrated with Microsoft Entra ID. This role encompasses imaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and testing of systems and peripherals, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the unpacking, repacking, and distribution of equipment to users.
  • Assist personnel with the installation, imaging, configuration, and ongoing functionality of computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment and software.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and document support inquiries and tickets.
  • Support the customization and modification of existing programs to align with user needs.

Oversee email and antivirus systems.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with vendor support to address technical challenges related to desktop computing equipment and software.
  • Utilize a ticketing system to document and prioritize tasks.
  • Work closely with management to procure hardware and software.
  • Contribute to the documentation of technical support resolutions, processes, and procedures.
  • Evaluate functional requirements to determine specifications for acquisitions.
  • Actively participate as a member of a technical team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Windows devices and Windows OS support.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and replacing hardware on desktop and laptop computers.
  • Experience with the installation and management of SOHO firewalls.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new and existing technologies.
  • Experience in installing software, patches, and updates on desktops and laptops.
  • Capability to troubleshoot basic network, software, and printing issues.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in an IT Support role, adhering to IT policies and procedures.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting a Windows environment, specifically Windows 10/11 desktop and laptop systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in setting up desktops and laptops.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
