PROJECT MANAGER - TELECOMMUNICATIONS

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager with a strong background in the Telecommunications sector, particularly with enterprise-level experience. This role involves overseeing projects related to both lit and dark fiber, acting as the primary representative for Fort Point. A focus on customer relations is essential, and the ideal candidate will be autonomous, detail-oriented, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and lead client meetings, including project kick-offs and regular status updates.
  • Oversee the activities of internal teams and engineering departments to ensure effective planning, communication, and execution of solutions.
  • Relay client requirements to cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide updates on project status, including dependencies, to clients to align expectations.
  • Establish and maintain a strong relationship with clients, serving as the main point of contact for project discussions and deliverables.
  • Conduct critical path analysis to assess, identify, and manage deployment aspects while mitigating risks.
  • Maintain relevant district data for centralized operations, such as fleet and inventory management.
  • Organize organizational priorities, schedule meetings, track action items, and generate reports and presentations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects in a similar industry.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in direct and indirect people management.
  • Exceptional communication skills for both client-facing and internal interactions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management principles, including requirement definition, resource allocation, risk management, and change control.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
  • Familiarity with OSP/ISP construction processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ethernet technologies.
  • Understanding of carrier installation, testing, and turn-up procedures.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and resources to deliver projects on time.
  • Demonstrated ability in customer relationship management, adapting project management strategies to meet client needs.
