Job Overview:

The Senior Telecommunications Supervisor will serve as the primary on-site leader and team manager for voice and data installation initiatives.

This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed in alignment with both company standards and client expectations, while also optimizing the productivity of the assigned workforce.


Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Telecommunications Supervisor will regularly oversee significant project teams; take charge of performance management and provide essential training; ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols set by the company and clients, and conduct weekly safety briefings; initiate performance-related discussions and escalate issues to the Project Manager when necessary.

This position will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to guarantee efficiency, project completion, and adherence to budgetary constraints.

The Senior Telecommunications Supervisor will accurately and promptly finalize all necessary documentation related to IES COMMERCIAL and project activities, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and any other required paperwork.

This role involves conducting quality assessments; coordinating relocation and cut sheets for voice and data cross connections; and preparing revised as-built drawings.

The Senior Telecommunications Supervisor will act as the main point of contact for clients on-site, addressing any inquiries or concerns, and will participate in facility and construction meetings as required.

This position requires a consistent demonstration of advanced technical expertise; troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges as they arise.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.



Tools Utilized:

Common tools include: screwdriver (both regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.

Specialized tools include: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, and 4-pair continuity tester.


Compensation:

Minimum: USD $25.00/Hr.
Maximum: USD $30.00/Hr.

Physical and Mental Attributes:

The Senior Telecommunications Supervisor must be self-driven, maintain a positive demeanor, and contribute to the development and implementation of project process enhancements.

This role requires the promotion of the company culture and mission to all stakeholders, including employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.

Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and effective communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.

The candidate must be capable of working at heights, using ladders, and navigating confined spaces, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds and moving items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Visual acuity to distinguish colors, read small print, and auditory recognition of signals such as dial tones is necessary.

Willingness to travel within the designated branch and regional territories as required.


Education and Experience Requirements:

A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates should have at least three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field, with the ability to terminate fiber.

A minimum of six (6) months of supervisory or managerial experience is also required.

Proficiency in using the aforementioned tools is essential, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and other project documentation, including specifications and quality requirements.

Familiarity with universal communications color codes is necessary.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and MS Project) is required.

Must meet the company's minimum driving standards.


Licensing:

No specific license is required.


Minimum Education:

High School diploma.
