Position: Telecommunications Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer at Colliers Engineering & Design

Colliers Engineering & Design is in search of a dedicated Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer to join our Telecom division.

As a consulting engineering and construction firm, we focus on innovative solutions for cellular technology, catering to the requirements of major carriers and tower proprietors nationwide. The Telecommunications Project Engineer will be instrumental in the design of sites for wireless and fiber optic communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently develop designs for stormwater management, grading, erosion control, and sediment management.
  • Confidently create and review land development, zoning, and construction documentation.
  • Oversee small internal site teams under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Serve as a primary contact for select external clients.
  • Facilitate conference calls with clients concerning site design and zoning matters.
  • Draft scopes of work, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate on proposals for professional services with Project Manager support.
  • Provide mentorship to fellow engineers, technicians, and team members.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for project execution.
  • Conduct field assessments and site visits as required.
  • Assist Project Managers with specific tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • A Professional Engineer license is advantageous.
  • Experience in civil design is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
  • Ability to effectively learn and apply technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong investigative and analytical capabilities are required.
  • A collaborative team player who serves as a role model.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills are essential.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on qualifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform fieldwork that involves walking.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as necessary.
