Wireless and Fiber Optic Project Engineer

Position: Telecommunications Project Engineer/Senior Engineer at Colliers Engineering & Design
Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for a driven Project Engineer/Senior Engineer to join our dynamic Telecom division.
As a prominent consulting engineering and construction firm, we specialize in innovative solutions for cellular technology, catering to the requirements of major carriers and tower proprietors nationwide. The Telecommunications Project Engineer will be instrumental in the design and execution of site plans for wireless and fiber optic communication initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently develop designs for stormwater management, grading, and erosion control.
- Confidently create and review land development, zoning, and construction documentation.
- Oversee small internal site teams under the guidance of project management.
- Serve as a primary contact for select external clients.
- Facilitate conference calls with clients concerning site design and zoning matters.
- Draft project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
- Assist in pitching proposals for professional services with project management support.
- Provide mentorship to fellow engineers, technicians, and staff members.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for project execution.
- Conduct necessary field investigations and site assessments.
- Support project management with specific tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is essential.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer license is advantageous.
- Experience in civil design is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is mandatory.
- Ability to effectively learn and apply technical knowledge.
- Exhibit advanced understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Be a collaborative team player and a role model for others.
- Exhibit excellent writing and editing capabilities.
- Effective communication skills in English are required.
Compensation: Competitive salary range based on qualifications.
Pre-employment drug screening is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform fieldwork, including walking.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as necessary.
