Job Title: Laboratory Management System Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Management System (LMS) specialist to join our team at One Vector in Cambridge, MA. This role is critical for managing and supporting all activities related to our LMS software, Benchling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Administration & Configuration: Manage, administer, and configure Benchling for Non-GLP and GLP labs, ensuring optimal system performance and alignment with laboratory workflows.
  • Customization & Optimization: Customize Benchling modules, workflows, and reports to fit unique requirements, enhancing overall user experience and system efficiency.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide high-quality support for Benchling LMS daily operations, including troubleshooting, testing, and issue resolution to maintain seamless lab operations.
  • Implementation & Deployment: Assist in the incremental implementation and deployment of Benchling, including system configuration, validation, and training support.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain SOPs, validation documents, and process documentation to ensure compliance with GMP/GDP standards.
  • Vendor & User Support: Act as a key point of contact for vendors and end users, offering prompt and effective support with a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Benchling and/or similar LMS systems.
  • Laboratory Knowledge: Proven experience in laboratory environments with a solid understanding of laboratory workflows and processes.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Benchling architecture and database schema. Experience with CSV and generating validation deliverables.
  • GMP/GDP Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in GMP/GDP laboratory or lab-adjacent settings.
  • System Implementation: Demonstrated experience in system implementation and deployment, particularly with Benchling or similar platforms.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide effective support to end users and vendors with a sense of urgency.
