Position Overview:
As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory operations, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct laboratory tests and report results to support clinical decision-making.
• Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Evaluate and maintain Quality Control measures to uphold testing standards.
• Engage in proficiency testing and troubleshoot basic instrument issues as needed.
• Process various laboratory specimens utilizing advanced computer systems for data management.
• Execute both STAT and routine testing with precision and timeliness.
• Collaborate with management to develop innovative testing methods and assess cost-effectiveness.
• Mentor new staff on departmental protocols and participate in team meetings.
• Analyze workflow processes and contribute to Quality Improvement audits.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Registration or certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is highly preferred.
• Candidates who are preparing for certification exams will also be considered.
