Role Summary

We are in search of a dedicated Lab/Facilities Technician to enhance our Operations Department. This role will act as a vital link among employees, internal teams, and external partners, including vendors and clients. The successful candidate will manage both administrative and laboratory responsibilities, streamline office processes, maintain organization within the labs and office, and ensure the facility operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist staff and visitors, ensuring a smooth workflow within the office.
  • Perform essential office management tasks such as filing, faxing, and handling phone communications.
  • Support daily operations in both office and laboratory settings.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in laboratory and tissue culture areas.
  • Handle package deliveries and shipments, verifying packing slips against orders.
  • Assist with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as required.
  • Maintain basic laboratory equipment, including incubators and freezers.
  • Restock laboratory supplies and reagents, managing stock room inventory.
  • Be available for critical laboratory alarm systems as necessary.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with relevant experience in laboratory settings.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed.
  • A strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • A willingness to learn new procedures and adhere to established protocols.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work on a computer.
  • Capability to travel safely to various locations as required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
