Lead Coastal Engineering Specialist

As a Lead Coastal Engineering Specialist at COWI North America, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our engineering capabilities and delivering exceptional value to our clients. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in coastal engineering, ready to lead international projects and contribute to our growth.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute complex projects, leveraging your comprehensive knowledge in coastal engineering.
- Establish and promote best practices in design and engineering processes.
- Develop metocean design criteria and conduct analyses related to coastal and estuarine hydraulics.
- Oversee the design and construction of coastal structures, including dynamic mooring analyses and simulations of coastal processes.
- Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and client relationships in accordance with company standards.
- Achieve project targets related to budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Engage in business development activities, identifying and pursuing new project opportunities while representing the company at industry events.
Your Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Master’s degree or higher in Coastal Engineering or a related field.
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or the ability to obtain one within a year.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, project management, and business development.
- Proficiency in scripting and coastal engineering software, including MIKE 21, OPTIMOOR, XBEACH, QGIS, and Python.
- Recognized leadership experience in the industry, with a track record of preparing proposals and strategic communication.
