Position Overview

Salary: $35 - $54/Hr DOE

PND Engineers' Seattle office is in search of a dedicated CAD Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Our award-winning team is engaged in complex civil and structural engineering design and construction management projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create precise, detailed, and comprehensive drawings utilizing practical design expertise.
  • Develop intricate design components by integrating information from various sources, including site assessments, vendor documentation, catalog information, engineering sketches, reference drawings, and interdisciplinary input.
  • Examine and verify design drawings and vendor shop drawings for accuracy.
  • Engage in design coordination with engineers and other disciplines to produce complete drawing packages.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience showcasing proficiency in computer-aided design techniques.
  • Familiarity with the development and markup of plan sets for civil and public works projects, including site development, water and wastewater treatment processes, and roadway design.
  • Ability to interpret, utilize, and create plan and profile drawings.
  • Experience working with 3D drawings and models.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Understanding of and adherence to CAD standards, procedures, and client specifications.
  • Proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD and capable of gaining proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, and other engineering design software.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to deliver accurate and efficient work within budget and time constraints.
  • Experience with Bluebeam REVU and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime as required.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of CAD experience is preferred.
  • A 2-year degree in design/drafting technology or completion of a technical design/drafting certification is preferred.
  • Experience in construction is a plus.
