KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing sales strategies aimed at enhancing market presence with both current and potential clients in the Snow & Ice Division. This role may involve leveraging existing distribution channels or developing new ones to drive business growth.

  • Manage and expand business operations for the Snow & Ice Division.
  • Engage with relevant accounts within your designated territory, including OEMs, truck upfitters, and end users.
  • Gather and analyze market, customer, and competitor data specific to the snow and ice sector.
  • Comprehend technical specifications related to truck-mounted hydraulic systems and electronic controls.
  • Familiarize yourself with municipal procurement processes within the vocational truck industry to position our offerings effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Solutions Group to create tailored product solutions for clients.
  • Coordinate with local field sales managers to ensure comprehensive market coverage.
  • Translate system solutions across various disciplines, including engineering, operations, IT, and sales.
  • Participate in trade shows as necessary and assist in organizing events for your markets.
  • Provide training and support to customers as required.
  • Assist in diagnosing system-related issues for company products.
  • Utilize company software and sales tools (e.g., CRM).
  • Complete application checklists for custom engineered systems quoting.
  • Submit account applications for credit assessments.
  • Willingness to reside within the sales territory and travel extensively is essential.
  • Travel throughout your designated territory in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A Bachelor's degree in fluid power, business, marketing, or a related field; or equivalent experience and knowledge of industry standards is required.
  • IFPS fluid power certification is preferred.
  • Potential for travel outside the United States may be necessary.
  • A valid passport must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a sales-related role or equivalent industry exposure is required.
  • Familiarity with heavy truck equipment and municipal sales is advantageous.
  • Completion of Muncie Power Product and Application School will be mandatory upon hiring.
  • Ability to grasp abstract engineering and fluid power concepts.
  • Strong computer and data analysis capabilities.
  • Proficient in creating impactful presentations and reports for customers and the company.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, site visits, and inspections.
  • A valid state driver's license is necessary.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is important.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-driven with a curious mindset and a strong commitment to achieving success.
