The role involves developing a proficient sales team that meets or surpasses all sales targets, expands market presence, and enhances the customer base within defined budgetary constraints while upholding the highest ethical standards and adhering to company policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership and Development

Achieve and exceed designated sales targets for the location.

Ensure that Sales Counselors apply the techniques outlined in training materials while complying with company policies and procedures.

Provide initial and ongoing sales training to guarantee that all Sales Counselors fulfill or exceed customer expectations.

Act as the primary resource for Sales Counselors regarding the aftercare process, prospecting, product knowledge, sales presentations, closing techniques, pricing, terms, documentation, sales guidelines, compliance matters, and customer service delivery.

Market Development

Create marketing initiatives that align with the geographical, demographic, ethnic, or religious characteristics of the community.

Monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies.

Plan and engage in community events aimed at generating leads and increasing awareness of the location.

Financial Oversight

Review all pre-need and at-need contracts to ensure adherence to HMIS, state/provincial, and federal regulations.

Authorize all customer discounts.

Prepare reports demonstrating compliance with financial regulations.

Operational Support

Maintain all marketing materials, training resources, sales tools, and other sales supplies.

Ensure that sales programs, incentives, awards, and presentations are budgeted, approved, and in line with company policies.

Keep all sales areas and offices organized and presentable to provide a professional environment for Sales Counselors and clients.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure that all sales counselors adhere to the Code of Conduct and obtain necessary licenses.

Guarantee compliance with sales practices according to federal, state/provincial, and local regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

Sales experience is not mandatory; however, experience as a Sales Counselor or in a supervisory sales role is preferred.

Experience in presenting, training, coaching, and motivating sales teams is advantageous.

Licenses

Valid state/province driver's license with a clean driving record.

Insurance license as mandated by state/provincial law and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient in a Windows-based PC environment and MS Office applications.

Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management systems is a plus.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Willingness to work beyond standard business hours when necessary to serve customers.

Capability to set challenging yet attainable goals for employees.
