KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Field Sales Manager, you will be tasked with crafting and implementing sales strategies aimed at enhancing market presence with both current and potential clients within the Snow & Ice Division. This role may involve leveraging existing distribution channels or establishing new ones to generate business opportunities.

  • Oversee the growth and maintenance of business for the Snow & Ice Division.
  • Engage with industry-specific accounts within your designated territory, including OEMs, truck upfitters, and end users.
  • Gather and analyze market, customer, and competitor intelligence relevant to the snow and ice sector.
  • Comprehend technical specifications related to truck-mounted hydraulic systems and electronic controls.
  • Understand procurement processes for municipalities in the vocational truck market and position the company effectively to engage with these entities.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Solutions Group to develop tailored product offerings for clients.
  • Coordinate with local field sales managers to ensure comprehensive market coverage.
  • Translate system solutions across various disciplines, including engineering, operations, IT, and sales.
  • Participate in trade shows as necessary and assist in their planning for your assigned markets.
  • Provide training to clients as required.
  • Assist in diagnosing system issues related to company products.
  • Utilize company software and sales tools, including CRM systems.
  • Complete application checklists for custom engineered systems quoting.
  • Submit account applications for credit assessments.
  • Willingness to reside within the sales territory and travel extensively is essential.
  • Travel throughout your designated territory in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in fluid power, business, marketing, or a related field; or equivalent work experience and knowledge of industry standards is required.
  • IFPS fluid power certification is preferred.
  • Potential travel outside the United States may be necessary.
  • A valid passport must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a sales-related role or equivalent industry experience is required.
  • Familiarity with heavy truck equipment and/or municipal sales is advantageous.
  • Completion of Muncie Power Product and Application School will be required upon hiring.
  • Ability to grasp abstract engineering and fluid power concepts.
  • Strong computer and data analysis capabilities.
  • Proficient in creating impactful presentations and reports for customers and the company.
  • Ability to travel for meetings, site visits, and customer inspections.
  • A valid state driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven with a curious mindset and a strong ambition to excel.
