About the Role

The Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for both client retention and growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner's products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Quota Management: Meet or exceed sales targets of $800,000+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts.
  • Sales Methodology: Master and consistently execute Gartner's sales methodology to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Account Planning: Develop and execute account plans to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Forecasting: Maintain accurate forecasting on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Competitive Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software, or consultative environment), with evidence of prior success in Sales.
  • Skills: Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
  • Client Relationships: Proven experience building excellent client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process.
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree - desired.
