Key Responsibilities:- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and providing recommendations to meet their business goals.
- Business Development: Assist in sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals, participating in prospect meetings, and selling additional lines and endorsements that enhance coverage and meet client needs.
- Account Management: Direct and lead mid-year reviews and annual stewardship meetings, building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships.
- Market Knowledge: Grow a working knowledge of the current marketplace and capabilities of providing alternatives for the transfer of risk.
- Leadership: Coordinate and work closely with local and national leadership to drive LOB strategy and initiatives, promoting and driving utilization of best practices.
- Negotiation and Communication: Demonstrate strong skills at negotiating pricing, policy conditions, and terms with selected carriers, deciding the best carrier(s) for the client within marketing guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Assist the Producer and Account Manager in collecting client information, providing analyses and recommendations of coverage needs, and leading the execution of marketing and renewal strategies.
- Renewal Process: Lead the renewal process, preparing company applications and submissions to appropriate markets.
- Client Service: Assist assigned clients and teammates with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem-solving.
- Professional Development: Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to stay up-to-date on new products and legislative changes, leading, mentoring, and training other account service teammates.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience.
- Experience: Six years of relevant insurance industry experience.
- Licenses: Appropriate insurance license(s).
- Skills: Considerable knowledge of markets, policies, and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced, organizational skills, leadership skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, discretion and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in basic computer applications.
