Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of Information Technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent analytical and evaluation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead IT project teams to meet identified project success criteria.
  • Manage project phases, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and monitoring.
  • Deliver multiple and simultaneous software/infrastructure projects, acting as the single point of contact.
  • Define project scope and objectives.
  • Evaluate and define ownership responsibilities for projects.
  • Provide strategic advice and consultation for the design and implementation of effective IT business processes.
  • Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users, computer services, and client services.
  • Manage project budget and ensure proper documentation and controls are in force.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks, review vendor deliverables, and mitigate potential risk to the company.
  • Provide effective management and oversee the management of large, complex IT projects.
  • Proactively understand stakeholders' priorities, requirements, and operational impacts.
  • Proactively manage expectations and lead the team towards the successful completion of deliverables within identified business parameters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of related experience resulting in demonstrated skills in project management.
  • Excellent analytical and evaluation skills to define critical tasks, establish a logical sequence of events, identify individuals/teams, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve obstacles before they adversely impact schedule, scope, or budget.
  • Project management skills to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, determine specifications, schedules, timelines, and define deliverables.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate team efforts, provide guidance and direction to team members, and communicate project objectives, parameters, status, and outcomes.
  • Financial modeling skills to quantify costs and benefits of projects and track and maintain project budgets.
  • Expertise in project management techniques, the company's business, applicable policies, procedures, and practices, and federal, state, and local laws.
  • Expertise in the use of technical applications, software (such as Microsoft Project), and other relevant tools.
Preferred Qualifications

PMP or other professional project management certification.
