Position SummaryThe Generation, Transmission, and Distribution Project Management Organization (GTD-PMO) integrates various disciplines, including Construction Management, Project Controls, Project Services, Program Management, and Project Management.
As a Senior Project Controls Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting capital projects across generation, transmission, and distribution by overseeing and managing costs and scope, developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, and facilitating the project authorization process.
This role demands extensive knowledge and experience, utilizing best practices and insights into internal or external business challenges to enhance products or services. You will be tasked with solving complex issues, adopting new perspectives using existing solutions, and working autonomously with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Project Controls: Design and implement project controls to ensure compliance with scheduling, cost management, regulatory requirements, reporting, and other project specifications.
- Cost Management: Develop, monitor, and update project cash flows monthly, ensuring alignment with corporate budget governance and identifying any scope changes.
- Scheduling: Create detailed project schedules to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring timely and accurate project development and execution.
- Monitoring: Oversee projects throughout all phases to detect actual or potential deviations from project plans, analyze impacts, and adjust plans as necessary.
- Reporting: Collaborate with project teams to issue timely and accurate reports on project schedules, costs, risks, and other significant issues.
- Metrics Development: Establish project performance metrics and maintain schedule metrics to communicate status updates and necessary recovery plans.
- Process Improvement: Lead teams in analyzing business processes and resource requirements, recommending enhancements and translating processes into measurable metrics.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Build relationships with key stakeholders, develop communication plans, and provide technical guidance and expertise.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of experience in a technical role within a regulated utility or large-scale engineering and construction programs.
- Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
Preferred:
- Experience in cost control management and project forecasting.
- Intermediate knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and tools.
- Familiarity with financial tools, spreadsheets, and project management software.
- Advanced skills in learning and applying new technologies.
PGE supports flexible work arrangements, combining in-office and remote work. However, these arrangements may evolve based on business needs.
CompensationThe compensation range for this position is $71,000 to $142,500, with eligibility for a performance-based incentive bonus. Total compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
